The Central Mississippi ARA will host its 3 rd Saturday operation at
Lake Lincoln State Park this Saturday January 17, 2026, weather
permitting (rain or snow – no show only).

K5FIT visited the Park and has these comments: I visited the Park this
morning It’s about an hour from Flowood off I-55 south. A
beautiful park. My wife and I camped there many times in the past, and I
know Eugene (N5CMA) camped there and is from this area.

I talked to the gate lady and told her we wanted to come on the 17 th
and practice emergency communications using Amateur Radio equipment. I
also mentioned the Park is a Parks on the Air location. She said the
Park is open daily 8am-5pm and a day use pass is $2.00, and they would
be happy to have us. I assured her we would not leave any trace we were
there.

There is LOTS of room and concrete picnic tables over 2 or 3 acres along
the lake. Well-kept with restrooms by the parking lot. Lots of room to
get a little distance with antennas too.

Once you pay your day use fee continue straight then turn right at the
picnic area sign. Then bear left at the Primitive Area sign.
